He was born in 1947 in Yerevan. In 1970 he graduated from the Physics Department of Yerevan State University and worked in 1983 at the Institute of Physical Research of the Academy of Sciences of Armenia; candidate of physical and mathematical sciences.

Since 1984 – art editor of the magazine “Mshakuyt” (“Culture”), Yerevan.
From 1992 to 2004 – also the main artist of JSC “Namakanish” (“Postal Mark”).
Since 1993 – simultaneously art art director of the Armenian center “Humanitarian cultural and publishing initiative” and publishing house “Hosk” (“Word”).
Since 1986 – member of the Union of Artists of Armenia.
Since 1991 – member of the Union of Designers of Armenia and the International Association “Union of Designers”.
Since 2001 – full member of the All-Armenian Academy of Philately and Numismatics.
Since 2004 – member of the Armenian Cartoonists Association.

Areas of activity:
easel graphics; computer graphics; graphic design, design and illustration of books, magazines and other printed products; design of fonts; development of brand and trade marks and emblems, corporate styles; caricature (graphic humor); stamps: design and publication; publishing activity.

Exhibitions / competitions in the field of cartoons and graphic humor:
Leninakan 1986: second prize;
Gabrovo 1979, 1981, 1987: Prize of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists;
Odessa 1987, 1989: the “best 10” award
