He was born in 1939 on the Volga. He worked as an artist in the editorial offices of the newspapers Moskovsky Komsomolets, Trud, Sotsialisticheskaya Industriya, Izvestiya, the main artist of the magazines The Soviet Union and Misha. He was the main artist of the new Moscow theater “TEART” (theater on paper). Organized the Center of Humor in Moscow (late 80’s of the last century). Carried out a number of contests and exhibitions of caricatures in Moscow. The founder and editor of the Humorous newspaper “Utyug” (1989 – 1993).
He graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute. He studied at the Moscow Higher Art College. Strogonov.

A participant in numerous international cartoon contests and a laureate of 33 of them. The most significant prizes were received in Bulgaria, Belgium, Greece, Italy, Canada, Turkey, Yugoslavia, Japan.

Laureate of the Golden Calf Prize.
Member of the USSR Union of Journalists.
