In 1968 he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Slovakia in Bratislava. To exhibit his art works in the country and abroad, is the recipient of numerous awards, including the highest international ones, such as Mexico-Mencion (1970), and an Honorable Prize in the competition for illustrations of Czechoslovakian most beautiful books (1977).

At the XI-th Biennale of Animation in Bratislava in 2012, was awarded the Albina Brunovski medal. One of the founders of the Slovak animated film, a pioneer of non-traditional methods of art in animation (ceramics, wood, plasticine, etc.).
