Was born in 1954 on Sakhalin island.
Graduated from Leningrad High Navy School named after M.V. Frunze in 1976, specialized in the anti-submarine arming for the surface ships. 
In 1979 started to draw cartoons and contributed to newspapers and magazines. Since 1981 has been working as a professional cartoonist. Tens of thousands of his drawings were published.
He was awarded with a number of prizes at cartoon competitions.
A member of the Union of Journalists of Russia.
