Andrei Krylov was born October 22, 1929 in Moscow in the family of the famous artist Porfiry Nikitich Krylov (art group Kukryniksy).
He graduated from the Moscow Art Institute and began working in the magazine “Crocodile” where he stayed for 34 years and grew up to the head artist of the magazine.
He traveled a lot and always brought sketches and landscapes from his trips.
From 1990 to 2002, AP Krylov conducted a master class in Germany painting, drawing, composition
His witty satirical drawings are known to many, they are still interesting and recognizable today.
Andrey Krylov participated in more than 80 exhibitions both in Russia and abroad
In 1980 he was awarded with the title of “Honored Artist of Russia”.
From 1977 to 1987 Krylov was a representative of the Soviet Union in the international jury of the Cuban Biennale.
