Cartoonist, poster artist, sculptor, illustrator

Born on May, 9, 1897 in a small village in the territory of modern Moscow. In 1908 entered the Stroganov School for Technical Drawing. Created wooden sculptures, puppets for theatre, many Soviet posters and monumental paintings. Contributed as a cartoonist to many newspapers and magazines: “Red panorama”, “Ogonek”, “Vokrug Sveta”. “Mir priklucheniy”. Also created illustrations for books, including novels by Mayne Reid and Karelian-Finnish epic “Kalevala”.
