Blanco was born in 1930 in Havana. After graduating from high school, he worked as a linotype printer in the Havana newspaper El Mundo.
He was invited to the news agency Prensa Latina.
Later he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at the University of Havana
Blanco is one of the founders of the magazine Palante, a cartoonist, author of numerous stories in pictures and friendly cartoons, a writer
He is widely known in his homeland, he was repeatedly awarded prizes of the National Salon of Humor “Horacio Rodriguez Suria”.
Repeatedly Blanco’s works were also noted abroad
Laureate of international cartoon contests.
