Was born on May 8, 1937 in Moscow.
He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Nonferrous Metals and Gold in 1959 (Faculty of Mining Geology).
Worked in expeditions.
Since 1962 he worked in the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper. He worked there as a reporter, a photo correspondent, a special correspondent. From 1968 till 1972 he was a special correspondent of the Vokrug Sveta (Around the World) magazine.
Since 1972, he worked as an deputy of executive secretary and a chief artist at the same time and then as a main artist in the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper until 1996.
His first cartoon was published in the Literaturnaya Gazeta newspaper in 1959.
He published his cartoons on the political theme in central press like Moskovskye novosti (Moscow News), Novy Mir (New World), Sovetsky Soyus (The Soviet Union) and APN magazines. He was awarded with two diplomas in the All-Union photo exhibitions. He was a member of the USSR Union of Journalists.
In 2012 his book “Nostalgia” was published by the Art-XXI Century publishing house.

He passed away in 2016.
