Was born in Balkovo, Tula Province, in 1891 (or 1889).
In 1902-1911 studied at the Stroganov Central Art and Industrial School.
In 1909 collaborated with the magazine “Ramp and Life”.
Since 1911 worked as an artistic decorator at the Zimin Opera Theater — the Theater of the Council of Workers’ Deputies. Since 1918 taught at the State Free Art Workshops.
In 1919-1921 was one of the leading artists of the “Window of Satire ROSTA” in Moscow.
In 1919-1932 worked as an artist-caricaturist in satirical magazines “Smehach”, “Splinter”, “Atheist at the machine”, “Behemoth” and others.
In 1932 died in Moscow.
